Wet Leg has outlasted Oasis in a tight battle for the U.K.’s No. 1 album with their second LP, Moisturizier.

The Isle of Wight-formed five piece — composed of Rhian Teasdale, Hester Chambers, Henry Holmes, Josh Mobaraki and Ellis Durand — bested the returning Gallagher brothers’ on the Official Albums Chart, dated July 18. Moisturizer is the band’s second consecutive No. 1, with their 2022 self-titled debut also achieving the feat. Oasis’ greatest hits collection Time Flies… 1994-2009 reclaimed the top spot last week (July 11) as the band kicked off their Live ‘25 reunion tour.

In a playful clip posted to the band’s Instagram, Teasdale promised hit back at “old men on the internet” that commented on her body hair, and promised, “If somehow we manage to beat Oasis to #1 … I’ll shave the pits.” After the news was announced, she shared another post wearing an unofficial Oasis T-shirt, which featured an image of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels from the 1994 flick Dumb and Dumber, instead of Noel and Liam Gallagher.

The Gallagher brothers do have a considerable presence on the charts, however, with Time Flies… 1994-2009 (No. 2), 1995’s (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? (No. 4) and 1994’s Definitely Maybe (No. 5) all landing inside the top five. The group will conclude their six night run at Manchester’s Heaton Park Sunday evening (July 20) before heading to Wembley Stadium in London on Friday (July 5) for five shows.

Justin Bieber’s surprise album Swag scores a top five finish and closes at No. 4. The Canadian has hit the top spot twice in the past (Believe, 2012) and (Changes, 2020) and his most recent LP, 2021’s Justice, landed at No. 2.

Burna Boy’s No Sign Of Weakness (No. 6) gives the Nigerian superstar his fifth top 10 record in the U.K., and Scottish dance act Barry Can’t Swim scores his debut top 10 record on the chart with Loner (No. 10).
