If You Want Me is a blissful piece of dreamy indie-pop music about openness and letting go of control, accepting people exactly as they are. A message beautifully conveyed through dulcet, silky smooth vocals which aare accompanied by a memorable blend of dreamy indie-pop elements and left-of-centre psychedelia. Apart from those lush vocals, I am particularly fond of the smooth bassline, groovy rhythms, lush synths and tight danceable drums that come together to create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere perfect for a fun weekend!
If You Want Me is about choosing love over control. It’s a plea to stop trying to mold someone into our idea of who they should be, and instead accept them exactly as they are. And also wanting the same in return. It’s a declaration of openness
