The planned release date for Battlefield 6 has reportedly been shared ahead of an official unveiling later today (July 24).
The long-awaited follow-up to 2021’s Battlefield 2042 is due to launch later this year. Earlier this week, developers EA sent out promotional material to a number of influencers that seemed to confirm reports that the 13th instalment in the first-person shooter franchise will simply be titled Battlefield 6.
Earlier this week, they confirmed those reports with a very short teaser clip.

A full reveal of the game is due to take place at 4pm today but reliable insiders at Dealabs claim to already know Battlefield 6’s launch date.
According to them, Battlefield 6 will release October 10 following an open beta in August. No early access for the game will reportedly be available, but two editions of the game will be available to purchase – standard and the deluxe ‘Phantom Edition’.
Battlefield 6 has been described as “the ultimate all-out warfare experience” and will be a complete “reimagining” of the series following the divisive Battlefield 2042.
“Battlefield 2042 was one of the biggest bag fumbles in recent memory for video games. Should have been a guaranteed success and they chased trends and blew good will at every turn. Hope they do better this time,” one fan wrote on reddit.
While not much information about the title has been publicly revealed, a number of gamers have been able to play Battlefield 6 as part of a series of test events. Participants had to sign NDAs to take part but that hasn’t stopped footage leaking online, though that’s been swiftly removed via copyright claims.
“Biggest con is between either the animations being real janky in the same way that 2042 was. The core movement speed is very similar to BF4, but the animations don’t fit,” wrote one player.
“Biggest pro is the gritty vibe and the weapon customisation, the gunsmith returns, but there is a new measurement system from 0 to 100, and the better the attachment, the more points it takes up. There are also several new mechanics, such as being able to hold on to a tank as an infantry person, like a monkey holding onto a tree.”
