New York four-piece Loose Buttons are back with their first new song of 2025, a soaring indie-rock gem called Just A Boy In A Band.
Out now via Moon Crawl Records, Just A Boy In A Band is about the endless pursuit of something just beyond reach, embracing the reality of being “just a boy in a band.” From flashy attempts to impress to confronting rejection and self-doubt, the track ultimately celebrates the comfort found in being in “the band.” I am loving Eric Nizgretsky’s smooth, confident vocals which glide nonchalantly over the infectious indie-rock production. Apart from his vocals, what got me hooked to this song was its guitar-driven melody which effortlessly set the tone for a memorable listening experience. Joining the driving guitar lines we have steady drum beats and cool rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere perfect for the weekend! If you’re into guitar-pop bands, then you’ll love this one! Check it out below!
This song is about coming to grips with the fact that I’m frankly just a boy in a band, holding onto that childish belief that maybe, just maybe, we can trick you into thinking we’re something more. There’s so much going on in the world and then there’s us, fumbling around, trying to make something stick. And yet here we are, pouring everything we have into roughly three-minute songs, like it might actually change something. The best part is getting to do it with my bandmates and best friends, still chasing that feeling – like a kid who just pulled off their first magic trick.
