Kacey Musgraves has announced her return to Australia, with a run of shows on the east coast of Australia set for November 2025. The dates were announced as part of the latest expansion of her Deeper Well world tour, which is in support of her 2024 album of the same name, which also included an announcement of shows in Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai. As part of Musgraves’ third visit to Australia, she will perform two nights inside the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House – marking her first time performing in the venue. Ben Marshall, the Head of Contemporary Music at the Sydney Opera House, described Musgraves as “a songwriter of rare candour whose superstardom is grounded in her humble, honest country roots” in a statement.
“We’re thrilled to host her long-overdue Sydney Opera House debut,” he said. “[There,] fans can bathe in the radiant artistry that has made her a global icon – now entering a powerful new chapter with her exquisite, folk-infused album Deeper Well – live in the Concert Hall.”
Kacey Musgraves – ‘Cardinal’
Musgraves was last in Australia in May 2019, touring in support of her third studio album Golden Hour – which, just months prior in February, had won the Grammy Award for Album Of The Year. Since she was last in Australia, the Nashville-based singer songwriter released a second Christmas special – the imaginatively-named Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show – on Prime Video in 2019, as well as two studio albums: 2021’s Star-Crossed and the aforementioned Deeper Well.
Deeper Well debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 upon release, while locally it peaked at number 26 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was the 53rd highest-selling country album of 2024. The album topped the charts in Scotland and on the UK’s Americana and Folk album charts, while also reaching top-ten status in the UK, Canada, the Netherlands and New Zealand.
