The Paper Kites are back, and they’ve brought us a fresh dose of sonic comfort in the form of new single ‘When The Lavender Blooms’.
Marking the first taste of their forthcoming seventh album (more on that soon), the track is a quiet, soul-soothing ode to healing, hope and new beginnings.
The Paper Kites – ‘When The Lavender Blooms’
It’s got a Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac vibe, but by way of Melbourne’s Sing Sing Studios, with a final polish by Grammy-winning mixing wizard Jon Low (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran).
They might have billions of streams and a string of Platinum certifications under their belt, but The Paper Kites are still that same band built on heart, hush, and harmony. And if this single’s anything to go by, the new album is shaping up to be another instant classic.
We’ll bring you more word on that once we know, but for now, you get ‘When The Lavender Blooms’ into your ears up above.
