Bullet For My Valentine have announced a headlining tour of Australia, heading back down under this coming October. The three-date east coast run is part of the band’s current world tour that is commemorating the 20th anniversary of their debut studio album The Poision, with it being played in full at each show. The full list of tour dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.
Joining the Welsh metalcore band for all three shows are While She Sleeps and The Devil Wears Prada. The two American acts will swap opening and main support slots across each show. The former was last in Australia in October 2024, on a national tour with Stick To Your Guns, Ocean Sleeper and Boundaries in support. The latter, meanwhile, were last here in August 2024 as the main support for Alpha Wolf‘s national tour alongside Invent. Animate. and Thrown.
Bullet For My Valentine – ‘Hand Of Blood’
The Poison was originally released in October 2005, and topped the UK Rock & Metal charts upon release. The album also charted in Germany, Scotland, Japan, Austria and the United States. It went on to Platinum certification in Germany, as well as Gold in both the US and the band’s native UK. Four singles were released from the album: ‘4 Words (To Choke Upon)’, ‘Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow (What Can I Do)’, ‘All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)’ and ‘Tears Don’t Fall’.
Earlier in the year, Bullet For My Valentine had been on a co-headlining tour with Trivium, dubbed the Poisoned Ascendancy tour – so named because of the albums celebrating their 20th anniversaries, The Poison and Trivium’s Ascendancy respectively. Following a North American tour together, however, the band controversially decided to sever ties with Trivium and perform their planned co-headlining shows in Australia and South America solely by themselves.
Trivium’s bassist, Paolo Gregoletto, alleged on TikTok back in May that Bullet frontman Matt Tuck no longer wanted to tour with Trivium. “He’s the sole decision maker of the band, and he has no respect for us or our crew,” Gregoletto wrote at the time. Bullet, for their part, insisted that the matter was not personal and was to give them the time to focus on recording their eighth studio album.
