The cast of Bob’s Burgers has covered Chappell Roan‘s track ‘Pink Pony Club’ in a new video interview.

The cast of the long-running animated sitcom, which revolves around the Belcher family and their burger restaurant, recently did an interview with Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic Con.

During the interview, cast and creators H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz, Larry Murphy, Loren Bouchard and Bernard Derriman discuss the show and their favourite moments.

They also sing a cover of Chappell Roan’s hit track ‘Pink Pony Club’ in the voice of their characters. Watch a clip of the moment below.

‘Pink Pony Club’ was Roan’s first UK Number One single. Initially released through Atlantic Records in 2020, before Roan was later dropped from the label. In 2023, it was included on her debut album ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess‘, and has slowly grown a cult following in the years since.

In March, it officially reached the top spot of the UK Charts, with 658,424 total UK sales. In response, Roan told Official Charts: “The UK has truly been there for me since day one and this is such an incredible honor!!!”

Around the time of its release, Roan’s debut album was given a glowing four-star review by NME, with Hannah Mylrea describing it as laden with “unabashedly fun anthems”.

“Sharp pop moments shine brighter than some of the weaker ballads that pad out the lengthy tracklist,” it read. “Yet ‘The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess’ is a display of Roan’s bold and brazen pen, where she places searing revelations alongside some deliciously cheeky choruses.”

In other Bob’s Burger’s Burgers-related news, last month, actor H. Jon Benjamin said that the show helped him to become a better father. He voiced the titular role, and praised his character.

Speaking to Variety‘s Artisans, he revealed that he himself was the “meanest” dad before he took on some of the role’s characteristics.

“Bob is a really good parent – very supportive, very present, pretty patient. He’s a good dad for what he has to go through,” he said. “I’m a terrible dad. I’m like the exact opposite. Thankfully, Bob’s Burgers totally helped my parenting. I was the meanest dad. And then I slowly started getting more like Bob – but it was too late.”

During the interview, the actor recalled that he was surprised that the show – which has been running since 2011 – made it past its first season.

“Whenever you start doing a television show, you feel like it’s gonna get cancelled after a season,” he said. “You do one, and you’re happy to get two, then three – then, oh my God, four – then holy shit, five. And then, no way, six. And then – fuck—seven!”

The show’s success has also spawned a film, which was awarded four stars by NME when it was released in 2022.

It read: “The result isn’t overwhelmingly cinematic, but, then again, it probably doesn’t need to be. If you’re looking for dazzling visuals and epic grandeur, go watch Dune again.

“The Bob’s Burgers Movie is substantial enough to justify its 102-minute runtime and manages to supersize the show’s appealing recipe without diluting its flavour. It’s a meaty treat that fans and newcomers alike can devour with relish.”
