Zimbabwe-born, London-based indie pop artist Ananya shares her brand new single Falling, an upbeat exploration of poorly timed relationships.
Falling finds the talented artist capturing the mental battle between your heart and head in a relationship you know may be bad for you. I am really enjoying Ananya lovely, expressive vocals and how it beautifully captures our attention to he relatable storytelling. Her sarcastic phrasing and hopeful melody bring a lighthearted atmosphere to the story of a ‘wrong time, wrong place’ type of relationship. Apart from her lovely vocals, I am particularly fond of the intricate guitar riffs and how they are nicely intertwined with a memorable driving beat and lush synths that create an upbeat atmosphere that contrasts with her emotionally raw storytelling!
Falling’ came from a time where I was trying to hide how I really felt, caught in the chaos of falling for someone who wasn’t ready.
