    Press release –

BLACK WATER RISING will release their fourth album, The Edge, on all digital platforms, with CDs available exclusively through their official merch store on August 15th. The album features artwork and CD packaging by renowned stoner rock artist Mirkow Gastow (Pentagram, Zakk Sabbath, Witchcraft) and marks the return of original guitarist John Fattoruso, rejoining the band for the first time since their 2010 debut. Musically, the record leans more melodic while staying true to their riff-heavy foundation, delivering massive hooks and choruses while carving out a sound that’s distinctly their own.

“It’s been a while since our last album, so we’re beyond psyched to be releasing more new music!” says singer/guitarist Rob Traynor. “We’ve dropped some singles over the last few years, and now the rest of the album is done and ready to roll. I also tried a few different things in the studio, with a slightly fuzzier guitar tone—but overall, it’s the same BWR sound you’ve come to expect, just with even more riffs and rants this time around!”

Known for their no-frills, riff-driven hard rock, BLACK WATER RISING delivers soul-baring, angst-ridden songs anchored in crushing grooves, soaring melodies, and socially and politically charged lyrics that reflect today’s dark times. With a discography that includes Black Water Rising (2010), Pissed and Driven (2013), and Electrified (2017), the band has consistently climbed charts and earned acclaim for their unrelenting sound. The Edge pushes that legacy forward, proving once again why BWR remains a force in modern hard rock.
