BABYMONSTER‘s upcoming mini-album ‘We Go Up’ is being delayed, YG Entertainment has confirmed.

Yesterday (August 17), YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk shared a video updating fans of the agency and label of some advancements and changes in their plans for several of its biggest groups.

In the video, he spoke of TREASURE, BABYMONSTER and BLACKPINK releasing their upcoming projects. On the matter of BABYMONSTER, the founder revealed that the girl group were originally due to release their comeback EP on October 1, but that date is being pushed back.

The October 1 release date would coincide with the Chuseok holiday in South Korea this year – Yang Hyun Suk explained: “Just like how the US celebrates Thanksgiving, Korea celebrates Chuseok over a long period in early October. It’s just logistically inconvenient to release and distribute the album then.”

He went on to confirm that the EP will now release on October 10, and will comprise four songs. According to the founder, the group’s single ‘Hot Sauce’ was going to be included in the mini-album, but they’ve “decided to keep it as a special summer single” instead.

The four songs appearing on the ‘We Go Up’ EP are new songs that haven’t been heard by the public thus far. The song titles are ‘We Go Up’, ‘Psycho’, ‘Supa Dupa Luv’ and ‘Wild’.

The EP will mark the group’s first collection of songs since their November 2024 debut full-length album ‘Drip’. The K-pop girl group also released their first mini-album called ‘BABYMONS7ER’ in April last year. The project included their debut single, ‘Batter Up’, as well as the hit single ‘Sheesh’.
