Kings Of Leon surprised fans at their sold-out Golden Gate Park show by bringing out Zach Bryan to play a new song.
Bryan joined the band in San Francisco to play the new single ‘We’re Onto Something’, which will be released on Friday (August 22). They also performed their recently released collaboration ‘Bowery’, which came out earlier this month.
Kings Of Leon frontman Caleb Followill was recently opening for Bryan on tour, coming out with him and Bruce Springsteen in The Boss’s home state of New Jersey last month.

Kings Of Leon have been away from the stage for a significant period this year, having been forced to cancel a run of UK and European shows this summer after Followill underwent emergency surgery in May after shattering his heel while playing with his kids. They only returned to the stage last month.
They will be back in the UK later this week to headline Come Together Festival in Newcastle on Friday (August 22) and Victorious Festival in Portsmouth on Sunday (August 24). Later, they’ll play Norway’s Unity Arena and the Paris Adidas Arena in France, as well as Ireland’s Electric Picnic Festival.
The shows this summer are in celebration of Kings Of Leon’s ninth studio album, ‘Can We Please Have Fun’, which was released last May. That record was given four-star review from NME and described as “easily KOL’s most promising, liberated record for over a decade”.
Meanwhile, in late June this year, Bryan headlined BST Hyde Park, where he was supported by Dermot Kennedy, Mt. Joy, Gabrielle Aplin, Willow Avalon, Ole 60, Noeline Hofmann, recent NME cover star Waylon Wyatt, Aaron Rowe and Nadia Kadek.
During his BST Hyde Park performance, Bryan invited a persistent fan and TikTok user onstage to play ‘Heading South’ with him. The moment came after the fan made daily viral posts asking the ‘Nine Ball’ singer if he could join him on stage.
