Austin Butler has hailed IDLES during a music quiz interview.

The Bristol band have scored the soundtrack to Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming feature film Caught Stealing, which is out later this month and stars Butler.

They recently shared raucous track ‘Rabbit Run’, which is one of four songs that feature in the movie that also features Bad Bunny, Zoë Kravitz, Action Bronson and more.

Speaking in a new music interview quiz with Track Star, Butler gave a shout out to the band.

“You know the band IDLES?” Butler asked. “They’re doing the score, they’re amazing. IDLES baby.”

Throughout the quiz, Butler was asked to name songs by famous bands and artists including The Clash‘s ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’, Nirvana‘s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’, Foo Fighters‘ ‘Everlong’, along with tracks by Lenny Kravitz, Jeff Buckley and the New Radicals, which he scored impressively in.

Speaking about IDLES’ involvement in the movie, director Aronofsky recently said: “I built Caught Stealing to be a roller coaster of fun and wanted to supercharge the film by main lining a punk sensibility.

“I don’t think a band has really been tasked with performing a score for a movie. Who better to collaborate with than IDLES? It has been a dream watching them bend their notes to blast a hole in our movie screen.”

In the movie, which is released on August 29, Butler plays former baseball player Henry ‘Hank’ Thompson who finds himself immersed in the criminal underworld of 1990s New York.

Regina King, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber and Will Brill also star in the new film, which is based on the 2004 book of the same name by Charlie Huston, and was produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Protozoa Pictures.

The soundtrack for the movie which also features IDLES’ take on Junior Murvin’s ‘Police And Thieves’ is also out on August 29.
