I can never get bored of the shows

Noel Gallagher‘s daughter Anaïs has reflected on watching Oasis twelve nights in a row, saying she’ll “never get bored of the shows”.

Anaïs has been watching the Britpop legends play since their highly-awaited tour kicked off last month with two nights at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Since then, it has seen Liam and Noel play gigs in Heaton Park in Manchester, London’s Wembley Stadium, the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, and two stops at Croke Park in Dublin.

Speaking on BBC Radio’s Manchester’s Mad For Oasis show, which she presents, she said she managed to catch the first twelve shows before needing to take a break from the gigs. “I’ve been burning the candle at both ends,” she admitted.

“I’m knackered, I don’t know how my dad and uncle do it when they’re actually working on stage every night. It’s been great. One of my friends said to me, ‘Are you not getting bored?’ and I’m like, I could never get bored of the shows, they’re just that good that I have an amazing time.”

She went on to explain that she was “an extraverted introvert”, and while she enjoys her own company, made sure everyone watching along with her had a good time.

“The only thing that’s quite draining about being on tour is the amount of people I need to talk to,” she continued. “I’m a good daughter, I’m a good host, so I want to make sure everybody’s in their seats and everybody’s got a drink and everybody knows where the fire exits are and like where they need to be and that kind of thing, but that can get a bit tiring after a while.”

She went on to say she readied her friends before Liam got the crowds to do Manchester City’s signature fan move, the Poznan, which she does “every time”.

“It’s so funny,” she said, “every time I bring my friends, they’re like ‘What are we doing?’ and I’m just like, put your drinks down. They’re like, ‘Why am I putting my drink down?’ I’m like, just you wait…”

Last month, Anaïs revealed she had been inundated with questions about tickets by Oasis fans, saying in a now-deleted TikTok video: “What the fuck do I know about Ticketmaster?”

Elsewhere, she also previously hit out at the “ageism” and “misogyny” swirling on social media following Oasis’ reunion announcement, with some sharing hypothetical concerns that they’d be beaten to tickets by young women just wanting to hear ‘Wonderwall’ live.

In response, Anaïs said: “One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets.”

Blossoms also previously revealed that she also didn’t even know about the band’s reunion before it was announced.

Frontman Tom Ogden said: “Do you know what, Noel’s daughter Anaïs was staying at mine and Katie’s house when these new stories were breaking. And she actually didn’t have a clue. She was texting around people she knew to find out if it was true. She got no word.”

As for Oasis, the band are now at the start of their North American tour which kicked off in Toronto this week.
