Liam Gallagher guided Oasis fans on how to do the Poznan at their show in Toronto this week – watch footage below.

The North American leg of the massive Oasis Live ‘25 tour kicked off in the Canadian city on Sunday (August 24), with a second date at Rogers Stadium following on Monday.

One of the regular features of the shows so far on the tour has been fans doing the Poznan during ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’. The dance is associated with Liam and Noel’s beloved Manchester City and it involves fans facing away from the stage, linking arms with fellow gig-goers and jumping up and down in unison.

The second night in Toronto was no different, with the singer giving fans a step-by-step guide on how to join in. In footage shared online, Liam spoke about a conversation he had had earlier in the day with someone who told him, “Good luck tonight getting these Canadians doing the Poznan.”

“He said they’re all a little bit shy, a little bit scared, and they all smoke pot now, they’re all fucking out of their heads,” Liam continued. “So what, are we gonna prove them wrong then or what?”

Explaining how it works, he added: “Don’t be the first one letting the side down! Turn around, you lot in those stupid fucking stands up there who had a pill about 30 minutes ago, you lot turn around. Put your arms around each other, have a good cuddle, and just jump up and down. It’s very easy.”

Wembley Stadium danced to the Poznan for five nights a few weeks ago, with Dua Lipa and Jarvis Cocker among those joining in, while their Man City tributes played a big part in their hometown shows before that, with a cardboard cutout of manager Pep Guardiola standing on stage with them, and the man himself watching on from the crowd.

After the Toronto shows, Oasis went on to play in Chicago on Thursday night (August 28), with their signature drone display lighting up the sky above a Neil Young show the night before. They have dates to come in East Rutherford, Pasadena and Mexico City, all with support from Cage The Elephant. From there, they head back for two final nights at Wembley. Later in the year, they play in South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.

NME gave Oasis’ historic first comeback concert at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium a glowing five-star review, writing: “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century.”

“Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”

Noel also spoke recently about the “great” experience of being back on tour with his brother Liam, saying he had forgotten “how funny” he is, adding that he is “smashing it” and he is “proud of him”.
