The Molotovs take aim at “people who try to take advantage of you because they think you’re young, vulnerable, and stupid” on new single ‘Rhythm Of Yourself’

The Molotovs are releasing their third track in October, titled ‘Rhythm Of Yourself’, and they’re hoping for it to become their third UK No. 1 physical single in a row.

The track will follow The Molotovs’ previous releases, ‘More More More’ and ‘Today’s Gonna Be Our Day’, and is due to be released on October 31. This comes as the duo are also expected to release their debut album, titled ‘Wasted On Youth’, on January 31, 2026.

Released via Marshall Records, ‘Rhythm Of Yourself’ is influenced by “early ’80s stark Jam, Favourite Worst Nightmare era Arctic Monkeys and Sex Pistols”. There will also be a B-Side, ‘Johnny Don’t Be Scared’, and it will be available on white vinyl and all streaming platforms.

Speaking about the upcoming track, Matt from The Molotovs said: “‘Rhythm Of Yourself’ is about people who try to take advantage of you because they think you’re young, vulnerable, and stupid. It is also a chant for individualism: dance to the rhythm of yourself, meaning don’t let people change you, don’t let anyone get in the way of your vision – and groove to the beat of your own drum.

“The verses tell the story of an older, cunning man presenting a contract to a young kid, promising him the world whilst trying desperately to change everything about him to satisfy his own needs. The chorus is a ‘sod all that’ type attitude which says to be your own man and do the best with what you’ve got.”

As well as releasing their new track, The Molotovs have also announced their biggest London headline show to date – taking place at Electric Ballroom on October 23. Tickets are available to purchase here.

The Molotovs have recently supported Sex Pistols and have been hailed by Green Day.  They are also set to support the Sex Pistols on their forthcoming North American tour, which kicks off on September 16 at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas, Texas. You can view their full list of tour dates here and purchase tickets here.

They were also one of the new names announced for The Great Escape festival, alongside NME 100 2025 alumni Maruja, Nia Smith and Ugly.

According to a press release, their upcoming album, which you can pre-order here, is “scattered with themes of social and political awareness, and conveying a sense of being personally overwhelmed, connected yet internally fragmented, brimming with hope and youthful energy, yet grounded in the reality of everyday challenges and modern life.”
