The release date for Christopher Larkin’s official Hollow Knight: Silksong soundtrack has been confirmed.
Christopher Larkin is an Australian composer who’s created the soundtrack for a number of video games including Pac-Man 256, TOHU and Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. He’s best known for creating the dark, brooding score for the original Hollow Knight after sending in a pitch to developers following the game’s reveal on Kickstarter.
Shortly after Hollow Knight: Silksong was announced, Team Cherry confirmed that “Hollow Knight‘s award-winning composer Christopher Larkin” would be returning to “bring melancholy melodies, symphonic strings and heart-thumping, soul strumming boss themes to Hornet’s adventure.”
Now Larkin has confirmed when you can hear his Hollow Knight: Silksong soundtrack.
Taking to X, he announced the album will be available tomorrow (September 4) via Bandcamp with “other music platforms to follow”. The Hollow Knight: Silksong soundtrack will be available to buy for $11.99

For those curious about the music, two tracks are currently available to stream on Bandcamp – listen to ‘Lace’ and ‘Bonebottom’ here.
The long-awaited sequel to Hollow Knight finally launches tomorrow but Team Cherry has warned fans not to stay up until midnight to play the game, as the global launch means it won’t be available in the UK until 3pm BST.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will cost $19.99 and is available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation and PC. It’s also set to be a Day One release on Xbox Game Pass. The original Hollow Knight game cost £15 and was released in 2017. The studio has also announced they will also not be giving journalists early access to Hollow Knight: Silksong to ensure those that originally backed the game on Kickstarter get first access. However a number of early previews have been shared, with many saying the game lives up to the hype.
Following the release date announcement last month, a number of other games confirmed they would be delaying their own launch to avoid a clash with “the Grand Theft Auto 6 of indie games”.
