Indian-American singer Kavita Baliga has just dropped her brand new single Lost in the Dark, her modern reimagining of an 80s power ballad.
Out now via Desi Music Entertainment, Lost in the Dark is inspired by artists like Roxette and the Scorpions and finds the talented artist singing about surrendering to love and inspiration; celebrating the pull of change and passion, from darkness into light. A relatable storytelling beautifully conveyed through her lovely and smooth vocals which glide beautifully over the nostalgic production. Accompanying her expressive vocals we have legendary guitars by Grammy-winning guitarist Michael Thompson which are nicely intertwined with steady beats, subtle electronics, bright synths, steady drum beats and rich textures that come together to create an overall warm, retro-infused atmosphere that pays a beautiful homage to the 80s power ballad!
