Los Angeles-based singer & songwriter Avery Lynch has just shared her brand new single I’m Glad We Met, the centerpiece of her new EP Glad We Met, out now via Records V2.
I am a fan of Avery Lynch’s voice and how hauntingly beautiful her vocal delivery is, effortlessly setting the tone for a heartfelt and intimate listening experience. Co-produced by Juan Ariza and her partner Jordan Van Hecke, I’m Glad We Met is an intimate ode to her partner, sharing the origin story of them as a couple, from the time they met to where they are now. Such a stunning and romantic gem that is flawlessly conveyed through Lynch’s heartfelt and delicate vocals which exude raw, honest emotion and soul from start to finish. Accompanying her lovely vocals we have delicate piano keys nicely intertwined with lush strings that together create an overall warm, comforting atmosphere radiating with love!
‘I’m Glad We Met’ is one of my most special songs I’ve ever made. I wrote the piano first one night and the whole rest of the song filled in around it. I’ve never written about this story until now, but it’s essentially the origin story of me and my boyfriend, Jordan. The whole song is a timeline and it follows how we were in the same place with some of the same friends and we could’ve never known each other had one or two things be different. The song takes you through us being strangers, to meeting, to where we are now- and not knowing how it happened but being glad it did.
