Genesis Owusu has shared his first new music of 2025: A single entitled ‘Pirate Radio’. It’s his first track since the release of his ARIA Award–winning second studio album Struggler, and sees him collaborating with former Evermore drummer and acclaimed producer Dann Hume – who co-wrote the song and played all the instruments. Check out the new rave-inspired single below.
Owusu did not hold back when giving his press statement on the song’s meaning and intentions. “The rich are getting richer, and us regulars are eating each other alive,” he said. “Smoke-screened by paranoia-inducing culture wars and our own growing poverty. ‘There is no war in Ba Sing Se’ type shit. Someone’s gotta sound the alarm and break the hypnosis – and that someone isn’t going to be the guy saying immigrants are eating your cats and they probably won’t have a billion dollars in their bank account either. If Elon Musk has no more haters, then I’m dead.”

Fred again.. faves Shady Nasty will then take over as support for the second and third nights in both cities.
