Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are now married.

The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in California yesterday (September 27) in front of friends and family. The pair first confirmed their romantic relationship in December 2023, with Gomez confirming that she had been seeing the producer for about six months.

A year later, they announced their engagement, with Gomez writing: “Forever begins now.”

She has now shared photos from their wedding, captioning a carousel of pictures on Instagram “9.27.25.” The pop star wore a white halter-neck wedding gown, while Blanco was photographed in a dark tuxedo.

“My wife in real life,” Blanco commented on the post.

Per Vogue, they exchanged vows in Santa Barbara with around 170 guests present, including Gomez’s close friend Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Paris Hilton, Paul Rudd, and Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Back when Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement, Swift commented on their social media post saying: “Yes I will be the flower girl.”

Following their engagement, the couple also released the collaborative album, ‘I Said I Love You First’, which chronicled the couple’s “love story”. Prior to that, they had worked together on several of her hit songs dating back to 2015’s ‘Same Old Love’.

That album scored a three-star review from NME, with Georgia Evans writing: “While each track is enjoyable in isolation, the album struggles to establish a singular voice. And that’s a shame, given Blanco’s past pop supremacy. Instead of offering a truly revealing glimpse into their relationship – as the album cover suggests – ‘I Said I Love You First’ maintains a noticeable distance between artist and listener, and leaves you feeling a little empty by the end.”

After its release, Gomez shared ‘Stained’ – a long-teased track dating back to 2016 that was also produced by Blanco.

The record followed Gomez confessing to fellow actor Saoirse Ronan that while she thinks she’s “a little too old for the pop star life” now, she’ll “always have music in my life because my partner’s a musician, and I love having moments to do it for fun”.

Prior to that, she said that her music career “isn’t going away”, but that she’d like to focus on acting as she gets to hold on to her “sanity”, because acting would allow her to tell other people’s stories rather than her own through music.
