CONTENT WARNING: The following article discusses the death of a teenage girl

US singer-songwriter d4vd has officially cancelled his remaining Australian shows, with all dates now wiped from his website and Ticketmaster listings marked “CANCELLED”.

The move comes as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death for 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez – whose body was found earlier this month in a Tesla registered to the artist – has been listed as “deferred.”

The coroner’s office told media it could take several months to determine how Hernandez died, with the LAPD’s robbery-homicide division continuing to investigate. Captain Scot M. Williams confirmed to People that Hernandez had been dead “for several weeks” before her body was discovered in the vehicle on September 8, adding that while her remains were found in d4vd’s car, investigators have not yet determined any criminal culpability beyond concealment.

Officials described the body as “severely decomposed” and confirmed identifying features, including a tattoo on her right index finger. Sources say d4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, has been cooperating with authorities.

The 20-year-old artist has already scrapped his US tour, a planned deluxe edition of debut album Withered, and was quietly pulled from December’s Spilt Milk festival lineup here in Australia following public pressure.

His now-cancelled Australian headline dates were set for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in early December, alongside the festival run.

This marks the latest development in a case that has rocked fans and the industry. While d4vd has not been charged, the high-profile investigation – and the unresolved questions around Hernandez’s death – continue to unfold.
