Portuguese trio Ya Voltagem, consisting of artists Leustoned, Patty and Celestric, share their brand new single De Um Sonho (which could be translated for “From a Dream” in English), a hypnotic and cinematic piece of electronic music.
Taken from their highly-anticipated debut album, Entre Montanhas e Mar, De Um Sonho is an intense piece of music that pairs the band’s electronic sound with orchestral elements, creating an emotional soundscape where strength and fragility coexist. I am loving Patty’s siren-esque vocals which flow effortlessly atop the hypnotic production. The whole atmosphere of the song is quite immersive, drawing listeners’ into a world of introspection and duality; where feelings of distance and proximity coexist, reflecting the tension between dreams and reality. The song’s warmth and epic soundscape is very addictive with its lush synths, percussive elements and orchestral touches that contribute for a memorable and enthralling listening experience, making me want to play it over and over again!
