Dream-pop duo Sports, comprised of longtime collaborators Cale Chronister and Christian Theriot, have just shared their brand new single Keep Falling In Love, a shimmering ode to the way love grows and changes over time.
The follow up to last month’s gritty and hazy alt-pop gem Nice 2 Meet Myself (Bang Bang Bang), Keep Falling In Love is a romantic love song, an ode to the love one feels for his partner and how grateful they are for having that love and relationship. A relatable message beautifully conveyed through smooth, dreamy vocals that soar effortlessly over the duo’s signature blend of lush psychedelic textures and dreamy pop melodies, inviting listeners into their evolving sonic universe. Accompanying those lush vocals we have a groovy bassline nicely intertwined with glistening synths, twangy electric guitar and cool rhythms that make this a warm, feel-good listening experience!
Speaking about the song, Sports said,
We tracked the song in a single day at Salvation Studios in Brighton, a rare moment of everything falling into place. It’s a love song for my wife, who I’ve been with since I was 16, and who was with us in the studio that day. The song is about the way we’ve grown and changed together, yet keep choosing each other – it’s about gratitude, and about love being the most important thing to sing about.
