A lot of rock fans want to know the Metallica setlist for their M72 World Tour that will run from October 2025 to July 2026. The first stop in their tour in San Francisco for the Dreamfest concert was performed on Wednesday, October 15, so we have a sneak peek on what the band is planning for their remaining stops. Metallica will be heading to Australia and New Zealand in November before heading to the Middle East and Europe for the rest of the concert run. Here’s what we know so far about the song lineup for Metallica’s M72 World Tour.
The following is what Metallica is expected to play in its setlist for the M72 World Tour throughout 2025 and 2026. This is based on their concerts so far on October 15 at the Chase Center in San Francisco and their August 28 stop at The Stephen Talkhouse in New York. But as always, this lineup is subject to change, and it’s still early in the tour.
- The Ecstasy of Gold
- Played from a tape, a song from composer Ennio Morricone from “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”
- Creeping Death
- For Whom the Bell Tolls
- Fuel
- The Memory Remains
- “Fade to Black” is also possible
- The Unforgiven
- Sad but True
- Wherever I May Roam
- Nothing Else Matters
- Seek & Destroy
- One
- Master of Puppets
- Enter Sandman
From what we can tell, some parts of the lineup in the middle have been arranged differently, so that’s where we might see the most changes as the tour moves forward.
We should note that Metallica’s setlist at Dreamforce 2025 in San Francisco is for a benefit for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. (You can watch their performance of “Enter Sandman” from the front row on YouTube.) As such, their lineup could be longer for their concerts abroad in Australia, Asia, and Europe.
Metallica released a remastered “Load” box set that features over 240 unreleased tracks earlier in 2025.
