The Maccabees have announced a 10th anniversary reissue for ‘Marks To Prove It’ and shared ‘Koya’, a never-heard song from the era.
The album was the band’s fourth and final record, released in July 2015 and reaching the Number One spot on the UK Albums Chart, their first LP to do so. It was also named as the ninth best album of 2015 by NME.
Two years later, the band split up, but they announced their return in October last year. Their first reunion gig went down at London’s The Dome in June in aid of the MS Society, and days later they played a triumphant set headlining The Park Stage at Glastonbury 2025.
Now, they have announced that the 10th anniversary edition of ‘Marks To Prove It’ will be released on November 28. It will be available in classic black double-vinyl, 3CD and digital versions with a collection of B-sides, acoustic tracks and radio sessions, while the CD and digital versions will also include their entire Glastonbury 2015 set, which featured an appearance from Jamie T. Guitarist Felix White has said: “We didn’t know it would be the last album we made at the time but, with some distance, it’s the probably the closest thing to a definitive Maccabees album, with a part of all the versions of us before in it. It was a really committed time – where all our lives and focus was going into this music for better or for worse – and ten years on, that is really something you can hear in it.”

NME caught up with the band backstage at Glastonbury this year, where they reflected on the 2015 set. “Well, that is quite big in The Maccabees’ story, because obviously Jamie T came and played with us and that’s one of the things from our history that seems to get clipped up and used quite a lot,” White said.
“So that was a big deal at the time. I think this might be the fifth time we played Glastonbury and it always went up from being the first on or the second on the new bands tent to we were second top of what’s now the Woodsies tent, covered in mud, me wearing one sock, playing to not that many people. And then we did some quite big shows on the Other Stage.”
In a five-star review of the band’s Glastonbury 2025 performance, NME wrote: “This could go down as one of The Maccabees’ most euphoric shows. There are few things more joyful than witnessing White grinning ear to ear as he hypes up the crowd between songs. Frontman Orlando Weeks, meanwhile, looks happier than ever, joining his bandmate in some rare instances of geeing up the crowd and looking truly appreciative of the moment.”
