Grab your chain wallet and brace for impact – (HED) P.E. are coming back to Australia, and they’re bringing Nonpoint along again for the carnage.
Celebrating 25 years of their landmark album Broke, the genre-splicing heavyweights are primed to shake five Aussie venues to their foundations this February with a full-throttle anniversary tour, hitting Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide
(hed) p.e. – ‘Killing Time’
. Expect fan faves like ‘Bartender’, ‘Killing Time’, and ‘Feel Good’ (featuring Serj Tankian of System Of A Down and Morgan Lander of Kittie) – plus enough attitude to power a small city.
Released in 2000, Broke was hailed as a “magnum opus of rap, funk, hip-hop and metal,” fusing Rage Against The Machine grooves with street-smart swagger and unfiltered emotion. It went on to sell nearly half a million copies and cemented (HED) P.E.’s place in the nu-metal hall of fame.
Frontman Jahred Gomes still leads the charge with his signature blend of raw energy, righteous fury and California cool – and if you’ve ever seen these guys live, you know it’s less “gig” and more “riot with a PA system”.
Joining them for the first time since their joint tour back in 2019 are Florida rap-metal veterans Nonpoint, bringing their own arsenal of explosive anthems like ‘Bullet With A Name’ and ‘What A Day’. With nearly three decades of chaos under their belts, the band are masters of the pit-igniting, fist-in-the-air kind of energy that turns a good night out into an all-out reckoning.
So brace for a full-blown nu-metal resurrection and suss all the details down below.
