Von Venn’s new single “Be Free” is out now and its an immediate earworm! It’s their third track from their upcoming album “Forgetting the Fall”, and for me, it’s one of those songs that just gets better each time you play it. The Dublin band is taking on all the noise we’re dealing with these days, how everyone’s trying to tell you what to think and how to see things. But they don’t make it heavy or preachy. Instead, they’ve made something you actually want to listen to on repeat. Gary Cox’s voice really stands out here, and good luck getting that chorus out of your head once it hits.
What I like most is that the song doesn’t just complain about things. Yeah, there’s frustration in there, but it also reminds you that you’ve still got a say in all this. It’s got this throwback rock vibe that feels comfortable, like bands I used to listen to growing up, but it doesn’t sound old or stuck in the past. After their first two singles “You Can Talk To Me” and “Only In The Night”, Von Venn keep showing they can write songs that actually mean something while still being fun to listen to. This one makes you want to turn it up.
