New Zealand new-wave rockers Split Enz have announced their first tour in 18 years – see all the details below.

The veteran rockers earlier this week announced their long-awaited reunion, nearly two decades after they last performed together at a benefit concert in 2009. Prior to that, Split Enz’s played just four shows in 2008.

The upcoming reunion tour, dubbed Forever Enz, is due to kick off in May, and will consist of four shows across Australia, with stops in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. Apart from their biggest hits, the tour will also see Split Enz celebrate the 50th anniversary of their debut album ‘Mental Notes’.

Back in September, the Tim and Neil Finn-led band announced that they would be getting back together for a show at the 2026 Electric Avenue music festival in Christchurch, New Zealand. That show is set to take place on February 27 – you can get tickets to their New Zealand reunion show here.

As for the Australian Forever Enz tour, general tickets go on sale via Live Nation on November 17 at 12pm local time.

Neil said of the reunion in a statement: “Split Enz was my first band, my initiation into the magic of music and collaboration. It feels very special to be reuniting with that feeling and reigniting the flame. We’ll be in top form I know it, out of respect for the songs and our audience.”

Split Enz’s 2026 reunion tour dates are:

    FEBRUARY
27 – Electric Avenue Music Festival – Christchurch, New Zealand

    MAY
13 – Rod Laver Arena – Melbourne, Australia
18 – ICC Sydney Theatre – Sydney, Australia
    22 – RAC Arena – Perth, Australia
25 – Adelaide Entertainment Centre – Adelaide, Australia

For the upcoming performances, both Finn brothers will be joined by fellow key members Eddie Rayner and Noel Crombie, as well as Matt Eccles (Joji, Weyes Blood) on drums and James Milne (aka Lawrence Arabia) on bass.

Formed in New Zealand in 1972 by Tim Finn and Phil Judd before relocating to Australia three years later, Split Enz are widely regarded as one of the most important bands to come out of the region in the last five decades.

Neil Finn would join the band in 1977, with the band relocating to London shortly after. The band split in 1984, just months after Tim Finn left the group, with Neil Finn and drummer Paul Hester going on to form Crowded House.

Split Enz have reunited several times since their 1984 split, most notably returning for Australia tours in 2006 and 2008.

Among Split Enz’s greatest hits are ‘I Got You’, ‘I See Red’, ‘Message To My Girl’, ‘History Never Repeats’, ‘Six Months In A Leaky Boat’ and more. Their fifth album, 1980’s ‘True Colours’, served as their biggest breakthrough, being certified multi-platinum in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
