Blink-182 legend and eternal man-child-in-chief Mark Hoppus is stepping out from the stadium spotlight and into something far more intimate: a speaking tour for his hit memoir Fahrenheit-182. And yes – it’s exactly the mix of vulnerable, hilarious and deeply Mark energy that fans have been waiting for.

In the show, Hoppus invites audiences to sit with him as he unpacks the whole wild arc of his life so far: growing up as an angst-ridden latchkey kid in the ‘80s, navigating his parents’ brutal divorce, bouncing through identity phases like side quests (dork/goth/skate punk/global pop-punk icon), and ultimately forming one of the most influential bands of his generation.

Good Morning America: Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 talks new memoir

He also dives into the heavier stuff: the anxiety that followed blink-182 throughout their rise, the mental health battles he’s largely kept private until now, and of course, the public fight with cancer that had the entire music world holding its breath. But in true Hoppus style, it’s all threaded with warmth, self-deprecation and the kind of humour that makes you chuckle while you’re wiping away a tear.

Fahrenheit-182, which dropped earlier this year and immediately debuted at #1 on the New York Times Best Sellers list, has already been praised as one of the most refreshingly honest and funny memoirs to come out of the scene. Mark paints a vivid picture of growing up glued to MTV, inhaling punk records, eating pavement on skateboards and ultimately meeting the friend who would become his creative soulmate. From tiny club shows to TRL domination, the book takes readers through the full blink-182 rollercoaster with a surprising level of emotional depth.

Of course, Hoppus’ career doesn’t exactly need an introduction. As a founding member of blink-182, +44 and Simple Creatures, he’s spent more than three decades shaping the sound and culture of alt music.

He’s sold over 50 million albums, racked up billions of streams, hosted his own TV show, launched a radio show, and most recently topped the Billboard charts again with blink’s 2023 album One More Time…, all while the band sold out arenas, stadiums and festival headlines across the globe.

Now he’s inviting fans into a different kind of experience – one without pyros, confetti or Travis breaking multiple world records on the drums. Just Mark, a microphone, and stories he’s finally ready to share.

Cop all the details down below.
