International pop artist Paris WYA unveils her brand new single Treat Me Right, an anthemic pop gem that details the heartbreak of missing someone who doesn’t love the way they should.
The follow up to last month’s Only Time Will Tell, Treat Me Right is the latest single to be taken from her forthcoming EP MANNEQUIN and finds her writing a love letter to the ghost of what could have been. A captivating song that reflects a swooning heart chasing after a cursed romamnce, slightly desperate for a solution to estrangement. This song is beautifully conveyed through Paris WYA’s smooth, expressive vocals which glide passionately over the upbeat pop production. Accompanying her tentative vocals we have soft acoustic guitar plucks niucely intertwined with synth percussive elements, striking bass drums and vibrant bassline that together create an overall earworm of a song that got me excited to want to share it with you guys.
Speaking about the song, Paris said,
It’s about the kind of first love that never leaves quietly, the one that lingers in muscle memory, in the shape of someone’s hand, in the way they once said your name. It’s about looking back with open wounds, and still believing somewhere deep down that if they had just loved you right, maybe you could’ve made it.
