Oasis handed out t-shirts and streamed the crowd on ‘Gallagher Hill’ live tonight (July 20) as they wrapped up their final homecoming show at Heaton Park.

Last night (July 19) Liam Gallagher dedicated ‘Definitely Maybe’ classic ‘Bring It Own Down’ to the crowds that had gathered on the mound despite Manchester City Council trying to fence it off earlier this week.

Tonight fans were pictured at the site wearing ‘Gallagher Hill’ t-shirts which they were told were sent out by the frontman himself, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Sisters Claire and Kerri Davis told the publication they were handed out by a man on a golf buggy. “He just came and was handing them out, he looked official. He said ‘they’re from Liam but I’ve only got a thousand,’” the latter said.

Anaïs Gallagher also flagged that the t-shirts were being handed out on her Instagram Stories.

When the show started, much like last night, Liam dedicated ‘Bring It On Down to the “folk on the hill”.

And as fans prepared to do the Poznan for ‘Cigarettes And Alcohol’, the band threw to the crowd live on ‘Gallagher Hill’ on the stage’s giant TV screens with the frontman saying: “We’re going live to fucking ‘Gallagher Hill.’”

Footage shared online also showed huge crowds gathering tonight despite being told to stay away.

During the set, Liam and Noel Gallagher hailed the fans over the duration of the shows.

“For the last 10 days the eyes of the world have been on this city of Manchester and I just want to say to all Mancunians you’ve done yourself fucking proud. We’ve got people coming in from all over the world… what I can see by staying in the city you’ve still fucking got it Manchester,” the latter said.

The frontman added: “It’s been amazing being here the last fucking 10 days, you’ve actually blown whatever brain cells I had left, they’re well and truly gone. All I can say is I fucking love you, I adore you, we love you, nice one for making this happen.”

Oasis will now move on to perform a series of shows at London’s Wembley Stadium starting next Friday (July 25).

NME gave the band’s first show of the tour in Cardiff a glowing five-star review: “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century.

“Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”
