MDLBEAST’s summer series continued to raise the bar for music events on the second weekend, delivering another round of explosive live shows at ONYX in Jeddah and AFT_r in Riyadh. Energetic crowds, immersive venues, and a powerful blend of global and local talent came together to keep the Kingdom moving deep into the night.
On Thursday, July 24, AFT_r returned to Riyadh, lighting up the new ANB Arena, spotlighting both global icons and regional talent. Saudi artists Jeed and Saüd opened the night with styles that reflect their unique sounds – Jeed blending Arabic rap with modern trap, and Saüd mixing hip-hop and R&B with regional influences. Quavo, rapper and producer best known as one-third of Migos, followed with his signature charisma, easily connecting with the crowd. Metro Boomin, the producer whose sound has defined a generation of street-oriented hip-hop, delivered a carefully crafted set. Closing the night, Dutch EDM powerhouse Don Diablo brought his distinct mix of emotional melodies and energetic drops, pushing the excitement to its peak.
The momentum continued the following night, July 25, at Jeddah’s ONYX Arena, where fans gathered for a major live event. Jeed and Saüd returned, adapting their sets to the city’s energy, and Jeed surprised the crowd by inviting Moayed Alnefaie on stage. Quavo, Metro Boomin—dressed in a Saudi thobe—and Don Diablo delivered performances uniquely tailored to Jeddah’s vibrant crowd. Though hosted separately, both nights highlighted the growing appetite for world-class music experiences across Saudi Arabia.
With Central Cee, R3HAB, Meduza, Black Eyed Peas, and more still to come, the MDLBEAST summer series is shaping up to be the season’s defining music experience.
