Farm Aid‘s 40th anniversary event is adding more star power to its lineup.

Country Music Hall of Fame member-electee Kenny Chesney will make his fourth Farm Aid appearance when the event is held Sept. 20 at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Farm Aid will mark Chesney’s only 2025 concert performance beyond his recently wrapped residency at Sphere in Las Vegas; Chesney will return to the venue in summer 2026.

Joining Chesney as newly added Farm Aid performers are Country Music Hall of Famer Wynonna Judd and Grammy winner Steve Earle. This will mark Earle’s ninth appearance at Farm Aid; his first performance at the event was during its inaugural year in 1985.

They will join previously announced performances and/or appearances from Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young (with the Chrome Hearts), John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews (with Tim Reynolds) and Margo Price. Also on this year’s lineup are Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles, Waxahatchee, Eric Burton of Black Pumas, Jesse Welles and Madeline Edwards.

This year marks four decades of Farm Aid’s legacy of advocating for family farmers. Nelson launched the inaugural Farm Aid concert in Champaign, Ill., on Sept. 22, 1985, and since that time, the nonprofit fueling the festival has raised more than $80 million to bolster a strong family farm/agricultural system.

“We’re excited to have Kenny Chesney back on the Farm Aid stage this year,” Jennifer Fahy, co-executive director of Farm Aid, said in a statement. “He’s one of many artists who have returned to Farm Aid, generously donating their travel and performances to raise awareness about the family farmers who grow good food for all of us. Kenny’s appearance, along with the addition of music legends Wynonna Judd and Steve Earle, will make this an unforgettable anniversary event.”
