Soulfly have announced a run of headlining shows for January 2026. The trio of east-coast shows come shortly after the Brazilian-American metal band were announced as one of the marquee acts for the Froth & Fury festival in Adelaide and Perth, alongside Australian bands Polaris and In Hearts Wake. Frontman Max Cavalera will be pulling double duty at all shows, with his 90s side project Nailbomb also set to perform as main support – playing for the very first time in Australia. The full list of Soulfly’s 2026 tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.
Also joining Cavalera’s two bands for the east-coast shows are Snot, who are returning to Australia for the first time in over a decade. The American nu-metal band had made their debut in Australia band in 2015, having not visited in their late 90s heyday prior to the passing of original frontman Lynn Strait, and are reportedly at work on their third studio album with new singer Andy Knapp.
Soulfly – ‘Prophecy’
Soulfly were last in Australia for the 2022 Good Things Festival, performing alongside the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Deftones, NOFX and TISM on the bill. The current live iteration of the band features Cavalera, his son Zyon on drums, Mike DeLeon from Phil Anselmo & The Illegals on lead guitar and Chase Byrant from Warbringer, Fatherdaddy and Combustion 96 on bass.
Nailbomb, meanwhile, see Cavalera joined by several members of the band Pig Destroyer in its current formation. The project was formed by Cavalera and guitarist Alex Newport from the band Fudge Tunnel in 1993, releasing their sole album Point Blank the following year and folding in 1995 so Cavalera could focus on Sepultura. In 2017, Cavalera performed Nailbomb material live for the first time in over 20 years as part of Soulfly’s live set, and revived the project entirely in 2024.
