The Belair Lip Bombs have formally detailed their second studio album, which is simply titled Again. It is set for release on Friday, October 31st via Third Man Records – marking their first release on the Jack White-founded label, not to mention the first Australian release on the label overall. To coincide with the album’s announcement, the Melbourne band have shared its lead single ‘Hey You’ and shared details of a last-minute hometown show next weekend. Details can be found below.
‘Hey You’ is the Lip Bombs’ first new music since the release of their debut studio album Lush Life, which was released in August 2023 and featured the singles ‘Say My Name’ and ‘Look The Part’. In a press statement, the band noted that their latest single was somewhat of a sonic departure. ““Having a synth loop driving a whole song is something that we’ve never done before,” they said. “We kind of leaned into that and pushed to make the scope of the song bigger than some of the other songs in the album.” The band have also shared a new music video, directed by Angus Fielder.

The band recorded Again with co-producers Nao Anzai and Joe White. This marks the first time they have worked with outside producers, having made both Lush Life and their debut EP Songs To Do Your Laundry To entirely by themselves. The album also marks the recording debut for drummer Daniel Devlin, who joined the Lip Bombs in 2024 after leaving his previous band Delivery.
Next week (August 21st) will see the band play a sold-out co-headlining show with fellow Melbourne band Armlock at the Northcote Social Club. They have also announced a last-minute headlining show next Sunday, August 24th, at the Old Bar in Fitzroy. Tickets for that show are on sale now here.
The weekend after that, they will head to Sydney to play the Rad Presents mini-festival at Sydney’s Liberty Hall alongside former tourmates Hockey Dad, as well as bands such as Shady Nasty, Dust and the aforementioned Armlock. Tickets for the show on Saturday, August 30th are on sale here.
Again, meanwhile, can be pre-saved digitally and pre-ordered physically by clicking here.
