Noel Gallagher has launched a new Gibson Les Paul, designed specifically for the Oasis ‘Live 25’ tour. Find all the details below.

The unique, custom-made model was first seen when Noel took to the stage in Cardiff to kick off the first of the Oasis comeback last month. Designed specifically for the shows, the Les Paul has since been used at all follow-up shows in Manchester, London and Edinburgh, and has turned heads from guitarists.

Now, he has announced that he has joined forces with Gibson to create a limited-edition run of the models, and each will come with a one-of-a-kind lyric sheet, hand-written by the guitarist, singer and songwriter.

The axe itself is a Gibson Custom Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard, which comes in an Ebony finish, lightly aged by the Murphy Lab at the Gibson Custom Shop. It also features nickel Gibson Custom P-90 pickups, Grover tuners, and Noel Gallagher’s preferred SlimTaper neck profile.

Only 25 models have been made available as a very limited collector’s package, carefully curated by Noel and Gibson, and each is hand-signed by Gallagher. It also comes with a Gibson Custom hardshell case with bespoke interior, a handmade leather strap by Bear Straps, and a handwritten lyric sheet from the Britpop icon.

The lyrics for each guitar comes from a classic Oasis song, and every guitar sold will come with words from a different song – meaning no two have the same lyrics repeated.

Orders are limited to one per person, and you can find out more about the model in store or on the Gibson Garage website, when it goes live on August 21.

The latest collaboration with Gibson follows on from Noel Gallagher working with the iconic guitar manufacturer last February – creating a limited-edition run of Gibson ’78 Les Paul Customs, with money going to charity.

In that partnership, 20 signed Gibson ’78 Les Paul Customs were shared, inspired by the axe originally given to him by Johnny Marr. That original model was used extensively for both live performances and recording sessions with Oasis, and famously appeared in the video for the song ‘Whatever’. Funds from the sales were donated to  Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Gibson Garage in London opened a couple of years ago and marked the first-ever Gibson flagship store outside of the US. It follows on from the launch of the Gibson Garage in Nashville.

As for other Oasis news, earlier today the band shared a live version of ‘Little By Little’ from London’s Wembley Stadium. The release comes as the group have shared live tracks from every venue they’ve played so far – beginning with ‘Slide Away’ from the opening Cardiff show and later ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ from their mini-residency in Manchester.

At the first of the 41 comeback shows, NME gave the historic night in Cardiff the full five stars, and shared: “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century.

“Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”

They wrapped up their three-show stint in Edinburgh on Tuesday (August 12), and the opening night saw Liam brand the City of Edinburgh council “a bunch of snakes”. He said the band were “still waiting for our apology” from the local authority over a report which suggested the band’s fans would be “rowdy” and “intoxicated”.

They’ll now head to Dublin and then across the Atlantic for the North American leg of the ‘Oasis Live ‘25’ tour. They will then head back to the UK for two final Wembley shows in September, with negotiations underway to bring the tour to Italy.

Later in the year, they’ll play in South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
