Amazon Prime Video has revealed the first look at the costumes for The Boys prequel Vought Rising.

the new show was ordered to season last summer and was described as “a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought”.

It stars Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy), Mason Dye (Bombsight), Will Hochman (Torpedo), and Elizabeth Posey (Private Angel). Also part of the cast are Aya Cash (Stormfront), KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolò Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.

In a post on The Boys’ official media accounts, the caption read: “Once upon a time, these four were as American as apple pie. Say hello to the supes of VOUGHT RISING – a new origin story set in the world of The Boys – in production this month.”

Meanwhile, the fifth and final season of the original series has just wrapped production and is set to air next year.

Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, wrote an emotional tribute to the show and the “monster” he played. “This complicated character allowed the space and range to discover and push boundaries in a way I never expected and I will always be grateful for this experience,” he said.

The Boys first aired in 2019 and became a huge critical and commercial success. It also spawned the spin-off series  Gen V, whose second season will air from September 17.

The trailer for the next instalment of Gen V dropped last month and teases numerous crossovers with the original series.
