Better Lovers have announced an Australian tour for January 2026, which will mark their debut run in this guise. The tour is in support of the American post-hardcore supergroup’s debut studio album Highly Irresponsible, which was released last year via SharpTone Records. The full list of the band’s upcoming tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.
The run will see the band joined on all dates by Split Chain and Blind Girls. The former are a UK post-grunge band making their Australian debut, having released their debut album Motionblur earlier this year. The latter, meanwhile, are a Gold Coast-based grindcore band. Their second studio album, An Exit Exists, was released last year. It was produced by Bugs drummer Brock Weston and released via Secret Voice Records – the independent imprint run by Touche Amore frontman Jeremy Bolm.
Better Lovers – ‘Lie Between The Lines’
Better Lovers is composed of three-fifths of Every Time I Die – guitarist Jordan Buckley, bassist Steve Micciche and drummer Clayton Holyoak – as well as former Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato and Fit For An Autopsy guitarist Will Putney. The group formed in 2023, two years after the abrupt split of Every Time I Die, and released their debut EP God Made Me An Animal that year. Buckley, Micciche and Holyoak last toured Australia as part of Every Time I Die in 2017, co-headlining with letlive. Puciato last toured in January 2024 as a solo artist, and Putney last toured in 2023 with Fit For An Autopsy supporting Make Them Suffer on their Neverbloom anniversary tour.
Highly Irresponsible, produced by Putney, was pre-empted by the release of four singles: ‘A White Horse Covered In Blood’ in July, ‘Future Myopia’ in August, ‘At All Times’ in September and ‘Love As An Act Of Rebellion’ just days before album release in October. 2025 thus far has seen the band touring throughout their native US, as well as festival appearances at Aftershock and Furnace Fest.
