SXSW Sydney have once again expanded the Music Festival section of their multi-day conference across the city’s CBD. A total of 63 new artists have been added to the bill, joining the 74 that have already been announced since April. The full list of performers that are announced for SXSW Sydney 2025, as well as information on accessing wristbands for the conference, can be found below.

Of the newly-announced acts, 25 are international. This includes American indie-rock band Whitney, who are slated to release their fifth studio album Small Talk in November – just weeks after the conference – and will perform in Australia for the first time since Laneway Festival in 2017. Others coming from overseas to the conference include Irish pop-rock band Picture This, Taiwanese post-punk band Modern Cinema Master, UK rapper Lex Amor and Filipino singer-songwriter Angela Ken.

On the local front, the line-up now features “girl EDM” star Ninajirachi, fresh from the release of her debut album I Love My Computer, as well as beloved Sydney rock band Body Type, Canberran punk wunderkinds Sonic Reducer, Newcastle post-grunge band Deadshowws and – surprisingly – industry veterans The Rubens, who are celebrating 10 years of their chart-topping ‘Hoops’ this year.

SXSW Sydney made its debut in October 2023. It included the world premiere of The Wiggles‘ documentary Hot Potato, talks from Queer Eye‘s Tan France and Chance The Rapper, and musical performances from Otoboke Beaver, Los Bitchos, Sorry, Barkaa, Tkay Maidza, 1300 and Ben Lee, amongst dozens of others at venues across the city. Last year’s music line-up included The Buoys, DoloRRes, The Grogans, HighSchool, ixaras, The Moving Stills, Nick Ward and dozens more.
