The Imaginaries, an Oklahoma-based Americana husband and wife duo consisting of Shane Henry (guitar, vocals) and Maggie McClure (keys, piano, vocals), are back with their brand new single Fever, a gritty, high-octane anthem blending blues-rock fire with pop-Americana shine.
The title track of their sophomore album, which is out now, Fever is a passionate song about love and freedom, feelings effortlessly conveyed through Shane and Maggie’s powerful vocals and harmonies. What I like the most about this song is its infectious energy and how it just gave me that boost I needed to carry on with my day. Accompanying their passionate vocals we have a gritty blend of blues-rock and soaring pop-Americana elements that create a memorable and enthralling listening experience. I am particularly fond of the soaring guitar riffs which are beautifully intertwined with punchy beats and keys, beautifully enhancing the passion and emotion pouring from their vocals.
Fever is accompanied by a music video, directed by Reagan Elkins, that embodies the adrenaline and romance woven through the record. Featuring one of Shane’s restored muscle cars, the clip captures the duo on the move – living the roving lifestyle that inspired the song’s Bonnie-and-Clyde-style narrative of love, freedom, and fire.
