Sasha & the Bear, the project of singers, songwriters, producers Sasha Daniel and Dov Igel, share their brand new single Humanly Small, a dreamy indie-electronic song born out of the tension between regret and release.
I am loving the song’s warmth and hypnotic vibes that instantly got me in a relaxed mood and excited to want to share this feeling with you guys. The first single from Sasha & the Bear’s 4th EP, written and recorded in Portugal, Humanly Small is a vow of renewal, with the line of “Never doing that again” being repeated like a mantra, this song confronts cycles of self-punishment and the quiet courage it takes to break them. This is a song that asks what it means to step out of limitation – to refuse to shrink, to claim space, and to grow beyond past mistakes. A powerful storytelling that is flawlessly conveyed through enchanting, siren-esque vocals that glide effortlessly over the infectious electronic production. Apart from those gorgeous layered vocals and harmonies, I am particularly fond of the rich ambient textures, killer beats, lush synths and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone but also for those late-night drives! Have a listen to this intimate and raw, yet expansive in sound, gem below!
