Bec Sandridge is back! Six years after her debut, the queer-pop shapeshifter has just announced her long-awaited sophomore album Happy Futures, due this October, and dropped its first listen in the form of new single ‘We Don’t Need To Both Be Right’.
Co-produced with Nick Zaharias (MAY-A, The Buoys) and mixed by Grammy-winner Cian Riordan (St. Vincent, Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish), the track leans into Sandridge’s softer side, without losing her widescreen pop flair.

Fresh off a stint overseas that included headlining Toronto Pride’s main stage (yep, the second-biggest Pride festival in the world) and playing Hamburg Pride and FluxFM’s Berg Fest, Sandridge will bring her new era to Australia this September before launching into an album headline run, and capping the year at Tassie’s Great Escape festival over NYE alongside Lime Cordiale, Spacey Jane, and The Presets.
Sandridge has long been one of the country’s most distinctive left-of-centre voices, having toured with the likes of St. Vincent, Tegan & Sara, Mitski, Yungblud, The Preatures and Catfish & the Bottlemen.
You can take ‘We Don’t Need To Both Be Right’ for a spin up abov,e or suss her AU headline tour dates down below.
