What’s a summer vacation without a little stomach churn? P!nk shared over the weekend that she took a holiday recently and got hit with a nasty bug that almost derailed her plans. “When you go on vacation and have food and E coli decides to move into your gut you kill it with friends and red wine. and a vitamin IV concoction,” she wrote on Instagram in a post that accompanied a picture of P!nk relaxing on a couch sipping wine while hooked up to a drip bag filled with fluids.
The slide was overlaid with the message “This is all normal and everything is going really well,” as well as the caption, “Ahhh life and lemons and lemonade and great memories that I might remember.”
According to the Cleveland Clinic, E. coli is a “group of bacteria that can cause infections in your gut (GI tract), urinary tract and other parts of your body. Most of the time, it can live in your gut without hurting you. But some strains can make you sick with watery diarrhea, vomiting and a fever.”
Last month, P!nk took to Instagram to clear up a few rumors, including the fake news that she has a song coming out title “Gorilla.” Speaking directly to camera, the singer said, “I mean I wish I did, I’m so curious,” she said about the made-up track. “I’m not singing for football games… or people… fans? I dunno, football fans at a football game? I dunno. It’s not happening, these are all fake stories.”
P!nk is taking a well-deserved break after her 2023-2024 Summer Carnival world tour earned nearly $700 million and sold more than 4.8 million tickets across 128 shows.
