Green Day have played ‘Haushinka’ live for the first time in nearly three decades – check out footage of the moment below.

The pop-punk trio broke out the track as a special surprise for fans while out on the road as part of their ‘Saviors’ tour, which is celebrating the release of their latest album of the same name.

So far in the run of live shows, Billie Joe Armstrong and co. have been using the gigs to air out some deep cuts, along with new hits from their latest LP. While on stage in Peru, for example, the band used the set to break out the first full live rendition of ‘Redundant’ since 2001.

Now, at their recent show in Santiago, Chile, the band have brought a song from their ‘Nimrod’ album back into the setlist for the first time since 1997. The moment came 10 songs into their 22-song setlist at the Parque Estadio Nacional on Saturday night (August 30), and saw them unveil the first live rendition of ‘Haushinka’ in nearly 30 years.

Sharing footage on social media after the gig, the band wrote: “From Berkeley to Santiago… Haushinka lives!!! First time playing this one since ’97.” Check it out below.

Also at the gig in Chile this weekend, the trio opened the set with ‘American Idiot’, ‘Holiday’, ‘Know Your Enemy’, and ‘Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’, before continuing with ‘One Eyed Bastard’, ‘Revolution Radio’, ‘Longview’, ‘Welcome To Paradise’ and ‘Hitchin’ a Ride’.

They closed the huge set with classics like ‘Basket Case,’ ‘When I Come Around’, ‘Wake Me Up When September Ends’, ‘Jesus Of Suburbia’ and ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’. Check out the full setlist below.

    Green Day’s Chile setlist was:

    1. ‘American Idiot’
    2. ‘Holiday’
    3. ‘Know Your Enemy’
    4. ‘Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’
    5. ‘One Eyed Bastard’
    6. ‘Revolution Radio’
    7. ‘Longview’
    8. ‘Welcome To Paradise’
    9. ‘Hitchin’ a Ride’
    10. ‘Haushinka’
    11. ‘Brain Stew’
    12. ‘St. Jimmy’
    13. ‘Dilemma’
    14. ’21 Guns’
    15. ‘Minority’
    16. ‘Basket Case’
    17. ‘When I Come Around’
    18. ‘She’
    19. ‘Wake Me Up When September Ends’
    20. ‘Jesus Of Suburbia’
    21. ‘Bobby Sox’
    22. ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’

In other Green Day news, the band recently poked fun at Will Smith for allegedly using AI to generate images of fans in a new video of his tour, and led chants of “fuck Donald Trump” during a recent show in Belgium on the Fourth of July.

Before then, Armstrong made headlines when he jokingly kicked a fan off stage when he started playing Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall’ instead of ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’.
