Wheatus have plotted their third Australian tour of the 2020s thus far, with the American pop-rock mainstays revealing a run of dates for January 2026. The tour will see them belatedly celebrate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, which was originally released in August of 2000. The full list of tour dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.

The 25th anniversary tour follows on from the band touring in acoustic duo mode in January and February of this year. Dubbed the Dirtbags Across Australia tour, the run saw the band stripped down to just founding vocalist/guitarist Brendan B. Brown and his wife, backing vocalist Gabrielle Sterbenz. The pair were joined by Pricey, AKA former Chats guitarist Josh Price, for all 14 dates.

    Wheatus – ‘Leroy’

Prior to the acoustic tour, Brown visited Australia twice in 2024. The first was a solo tour alongside Everclear frontman Art Alexakis in February, with the second coming just six weeks later as Wheatus toured the country as part of the ill-fated Pandemonium Festival in April alongside Blondie, Alice Cooper, The Psychedelic Furs, Wolfmother, Cosmic Psychos and Palaye Royale.

Upon its release on August 15th, 2000, Wheatus charted in the top 10 in the UK, Scotland and Austria. The largely self-produced album, recorded in Brown’s mother’s basement, was also later certified Platinum by the RIAA in the UK. The album’s success was largely off the back of lead single ‘Teenage Dirtbag’, which would go on to be one of the highest-selling singles of the decade – going number one in three countries, including Australia, and achieving a total of 14 Platinum certifications globally. Other singles from the album included ‘A Little Respect’, ‘Wannabe Gangstar’ and ‘Leroy’.
