It’s no coincidence that ‘Voices in the Mirror’ was released right before my birthday. This is my most personal song so far, and it’s all my inner thoughts. It’s not meant to be scary or upsetting. We all watch our faces slowly age when we look in the mirror. Eventually, our minds catch up to our eyes and we think, ‘Wow. I’m getting older.’ That sudden acknowledgement and acceptance is the real premise of this song.
