Lil Baby was scheduled to return to Australia next month for his first ever headlining arena tour. This, however, will no longer be going ahead per Ticketek – the ticket vendor for these shows. A new statement on the event page has confirmed the shows are cancelled, citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the sole reason for the cancellation.
At the time of writing, Lil Baby has not publicly addressed the cancellation – which has also extended to his run of European shows, slated to begin next week. Venues in the UK and Europe have also cited “unforeseen circumstances” in an identical statement. All of Lil Baby’s cancelled shows will be refunded from point of purchase.
Lil Baby – ‘So Sorry’
The Australian leg of Baby’s WHAM tour was set to include BigXThaPlug as its opener, which would have marked his first tour of the country. The American rapper has enjoyed particular crossover success this year with ‘All The Way’, a collaboration with country singer Bailey Zimmerman, which topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.
Baby, meanwhile, has been promising a new release entitled The Leaks for several weeks. After originally announcing a release date of August 15th, Baby posted to social media on that very day that it would be coming on Friday, September 5th and would feature collaborations with Lil Yachty and Young Thug. As of Saturday, September 6th, however, The Leaks has not appeared on any streaming service.
