Evanescence have added three headlining shows to their upcoming Australian tour, on which they will serve as main support for Metallica. In direct contrast to those stadium shows, which will be the biggest they have ever played in Australia, their newly-announced headliners will be the smallest and most intimate shows they have played locally. The band’s updated tour itinerary can be found below.
The American alternative metal band were last in Australia circa August 2023, where they undertook a run of arena shows with The Beautiful Monument to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their multi-platinum debut album Fallen. Prior to that, they had undertaken an orchestral tour in 2018 and another run of arena shows – this time with AFI side project Blaqk Audio – circa March 2012.
Evanescence – ‘Going Under’
The new shows in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney come at a busy time for the band, who recently released the single ‘Fight Like A Girl’ in collaboration with K. Flay. The track served as the lead single to the action film Ballerina, which is an offshoot of the popular John Wick film series. Frontwoman Amy Lee, too, recently made headlines with the track ‘End Of You’ – which saw her collaborating with fellow North American women in heavy music, Poppy and Spiritbox lead vocalist Courtney LaPlante.

A pre-sale for the newly-announced headlining shows will go live from 10am local time on Thursday, September 11th. General sale follows on Friday, September 12th – again at 10am local time.
