Dave Grohl was pictured outside an Oasis gig, appearing to buy bootleg merchandise from a vendor.

The Gallagher Brothers arrived at The Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Los Angeles, last weekend (September 6 and 7) as part of the North American leg of their Live ’25 Tour. While there has been plenty of official tie-in merchandise for the Britpop legends’ reunion, including a collaboration with Adidas, the Foo Fighters frontman was pictured outside one of the gigs appearing to buy an unofficial shirt.

Pictures of him talking with a vendor, holding one of the bootleg shirts, and appearing to pay for it have since circulated online. Fans appeared amused by the scene, with one writing on Reddit: “Everybody loves a bootleg!” with another adding: “Lmao he’s so real for that”. Over on X (formerly Twitter), one fan quipped they were “About $50 cheaper” than the official merch.

Grohl has been effusive in his praise for Oasis over the years, calling them “the greatest rock band I’ve ever seen in my life” and calling Liam Gallagher “one of the last remaining rock stars”. Liam appeared to echo that admiration, dedicating ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ to the former Nirvana drummer during a solo gig in London last year.

Noel Gallagher, however, wasn’t a fan of Grohl’s calls for a reunion prior to the band getting back together. In July of last year, he remarked: “I would just like him to wind his fucking neck in about Oasis. I wouldn’t talk to him. I haven’t got time for that fucking mob any more”. He would add: “I haven’t got fuck all to say to him. He’s our kid’s mate anyway.”

Oasis will next play dates in Mexico City before heading back for two extra shows at Wembley Stadium at the end of the month. They go on to play South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil before the end of the year.

Dave Grohl was not the only famous face to be enjoying Oasis’ Rose Bowl concerts over the weekend. Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, and Finneas joined a host of figures from the entertainment industry in the audience. Another attendee was Melissa Lim, the woman who inspired Oasis‘ 1995 track ‘Talk Tonight’.
